Faberge Jewelry
In 1872, Peter Carl Faberge took over his father’s jewelry workshop, which had been established in St. Petersburg in 1842.
He drew his inspiration from the art of earlier generations which he found in the well-stocked treasury of the Hermitage.
Vintage pieces demonstrate wonderful craftsmanship and attention to details, sadly lacking from the majority of today’s mass produced, factory line pieces.
People have discretionary income that they can spend on high-priced luxury items.
they exist solely to show that the bearer has great wealth and can spend it carelessly.
