Scott Podsednik Doubt on the Disabled List
The former 2005 World Series hero for the White Sox, Podsednik, 34, was batting .309 for the Royals, with five home runs and 44 RBI.
“I only threw 62 pitches Monday, so I feel real fresh, so I’ll have plenty in the tank.”
Scott Eric Podsednik (born March 18, 1976 in West, Texas) is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Podsednik led the major leagues in stolen bases in 2004 with 70.
The rotation already is hurting, with left-hander Scott Kazmir on the disabled list with a tired pitching shoulder. Right-hander Joel Pineiro was scratched from Wednesday’s start with an oblique strain.
The Phillies won their seventh consecutive game Wednesday night, beating Arizona 7-1 behind Roy Halladay’s complete game and Domonic Brown’s impressive major-league debut 2-for-3 with an RBI double and two runs scored.
