Marie Claire blogger Maura Kelly has caused a stir online this week with her post “Should ‘Fatties’ Get a Room? (Even on TV?)” She writes about the CBS sitcom “Mike & Molly,” a show about a couple who meets in Overeaters Anonymous.  She added that she has “a few friends who could be called plump,” but that she thinks, “obesity is something that most people have a ton of control over. It’s something they can change, if only they put their minds to it.” Fashionista called Kelly’s post “an unabashedly mean spirited piece and we’re kind of shocked that it’s attached to such a reputable ladymag, one, no less, with a feature series called “Big Girl in a Skinny World” by 5’2? 220 pound stylist Ashley Falcon.” And Jezebel wrote, “how could she not know this would happen? How could she think this was acceptable? It’s that, as much as anything else, that’s worrisome: that at a mainstream magazine with a wide reach and an ostensibly progressive outlook could think, in 2010, this was okay to write and implicitly Read the rest of this entry

Victor Cruz Working Hard To Prove Himself

Coughlin did point out Tuesday that Cruz made never one to mindlessly dish out praise, seems to agree. He singled out Cruz last week in training camp then said, “justice has been served” after Cruz’s excellent week turned into an outstanding game.

Cruz has received a crazy amount of praise over the last few days, including some complements from ESPN blogger Matt Mosley, who thinks Cruz could challenge Mario Manningham to be the Giants third receiver.

Its a never come into a game thinking you’re going to have three touchdowns and all that, said Cruz, a Paterson native who went undrafted this spring after starring at UMass. I just wanted to come in and, work hard. I’ve been working hard all camp and just wanted to kind of show what I can do on the main stage.

Not to worry, you can do the exact same sort of app browsing at apps.doubletwist.com on any plain old browser. You can even check out the Engadget app right. Instead, the Android Market browser presents QR codes for scanning with your Android phone and directly downloading the apps on the handset like you do already. Sure, desktop app downloads, backup, and syncing would certainly be better, but this is a nice start at least. D-Twist (as we like to call it) is also getting audio playback on the Mac, as well as podcast search and playback, with podcast subscription and syncing coming next (it’s already on Windows). Meanwhile, Windows users will have to wait until the next major version for Android Market.

With a very simple navigation system, Word Press allows you to publish new posts, approve comments, edit pages etc. Being a blogger will only get easier with this application and keep your interests mobile. As blogging gets bigger and bigger with the correlation to Internet marketing and everyday information in general, we have Word Press for Android.

Can someone guide me on this please. Is this the default behavior of Xperia x10 phones? can i download the andriod market app install the same on my handset? i am new bee to android phones. have been using for the past 14 years.

Ian Gow: the best kind of parliamentarian

Tom Harris, my favourite Labour blogger, has generously plugged Andrew Rosindell’s campaign for a memorial to Ian Gow, the Conservative MP murdered by the IRA twenty years ago. Ian Gow was an MP of a type not often seen these days: amiable, generous, perennially short of cash, impatient with spin of any kind, deeply principled, better
