Hisss Movie Review | Mallika Sherawat’s | Cast and Crew Tailor coming

If ever a royal society is to be formed for prevention of cruelty to cinema, Hisss, directed by Jennifer Lynch and starring Mallika Sherawat, ought to be its maiden project. The film is a case study of what all cinema should not be.

Firstly, a subject like a shape-shifting snake-woman or icchadhari nagin on a vendetta isn’t exactly intriguing to make you dash for the nearest theatre. Themes like these were done and buried way back in the 1980s when Sridevi writhed in serpentine dances to the sonorous tunes of the been played by Amrish Puri in Nagina.

Now, in the 21st century, it’s Mallika Sherawat modestly stripping down to her birthday suit to play a vengeful nagin out to find her abducted mate.

An American named George (Jeff Doucette) is on a mission to find a snake couple with the hope of finding the mythical naagmani that could prevent him from dying of cancer. He captures a male cobra with the intent of making his female counterpart, the nagin, part with naagmani as a ransom to save her mate.

The nagin takes the human form and the next we see is a minimally dressed Mallika Sherawat setting out to hunt for her missing mate and in the course imparting her own justice by killing the tormenters of women.

Irrfan Khan shocks with his presence as a cop investigating the strange murders in this monstrosity of a film. Divya Dutt plays his wife. The question that begs to be asked is what ghoul got in these two actors to make them sign Hisss.

Mallika Sherawat scowls, frowns, glowers and pops out her eyeballs in the name of acting. Of course, she slithers with slimy snakes and even kisses one in a scene. Yuck! The special effects are of the tackiest kind and the direction by Jennifer Lynch is conspicuous by its absence.

Verdict – Prefer a snake bite to this film.

Many are the ways in which love stories can be told. Some – like Karan Johar – tell it with flourish, using extraordinary situations to tell a pretty ordinary tale and propping it up with generous jabs of melodrama, tear-shedding moments and, of course, many a musical crescendo to boot. Others – like Abbas Tyrewala – prefer the gentle thrum of a brewing romance to an out-and-out eruption of love. Jhootha Hi Sahi, Tyrewala’s second directorial attempt and his wife Pakhi’s first shot at scriptwriting and acting, is a pleasing drift from Bollywood staple. It’s like a lulling boat ride on the sleeping Thames, with A R Rahman’s lilting melodies warbling in the background.

John Abraham plays a bespectacled, bumbling geek Siddharth aka Sid, whose phone number is mistakenly printed on the brochure of a suicide helpline in London. Thanks to this mix-up, every night Sid is flooded with calls from guys waiting and wanting to jump from windows or pumping down a bottle of sleeping pills. Sid tries to dissuade them from doing so.

One night he gets a call from a girl Mishka (Pakhi) who’s on the verge of ending her life after a bitter break-up with boyfriend (Madhavan). Sid persuades her to hang on to life and slowly a friendship brews between the two.

Trouble begins when Sid lies about himself and tells her that he’s an adventurous guy who has scaled mountains, plumbed deep seas and what not, while in reality he’s only seen it on National Geographic, that too in half sleep.

The real Sid is a wimp, who stammers, and cowers into a corner when faced with Mishka. So, should he reveal his true identity to her? Or should he play the double role – one as a phone friend in whom Mishka confides and the other as the bumbling Sid whom she grudgingly likes – all this without letting her know that both are the same person?

Brindavanam is a great move which has released across the country. It becomes one of the best movie and viewers are like it very much. Jr NTR has played the lead role in this film.

Kajal Agarwal and Samantha have played the female lead roles in this film. The movie was started with a bit theme song. NTR’s dance and his new style are the highlighting features in this film.

Have seen that type of song after many days really the first half touched with Family Values and NTR leads the show and comedy between venumadhav and NTR is really superb. First half was good.

Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey

Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey is a true story of these forgotten heroes and the narrative takes us through every step of the action from the initial trepidation, to the thrill of the attack, to the underground movement, daring escapes and tragic captures, and most importantly, their undying legacy.

It is a period thriller and is based on the book Do And Die by Manini Chatterjee, based on the Chittagong Uprising of 1930. Abhishek Bachchan plays the character of Master da Surya Sen while Deepika Padukone is one of the revolutionaries who helps him to defeat the British invaders and get hold of Chittagong armoury.

Both Abishek and Asin are pleased and thrilled to work with the most promising director of Bollywood. Earlier it was said that Aishwarya Bachchan will play the lady lead role but later Asin was selected, who did not even listened to the script of the film as she had full faith on the director. Gowariker said that the movie will be only 2 hours long.

Saradaga Kasepu turns into a ‘boring ga chaala sepu’, all you do is wonder why a comedian who threatens to pull the zip off from the bag and take out the ’subham card’ in the end doesn’t do it much before. The film would have been atleast okay if there had been some other filler instead of Krishna Bhagawan’s.
Allari Naresh plays the lead in the film “Saradaga Kasepu” which is being produced by ML Padma Kumar Chowdary under the banner of Sri Keerthi Combines and presented by Ravi Sadasivuni. The film is directed by Vamsi.

However the film falters on the comical side. Some scenes are too silly to be even called ‘comedy scenes’. Another disappointment is Ahuti Prasad. One really fails to understand on why Vamsi made of butchery of his character which only makes the audience squirm in their seats.

The protagonists, played by Arjun Rampal as Aman, Kajol, plays his ex- wife Maya , with a terminal illness, and Kareena who plays Arjun’s girlfriend Shreya, is a very modern girl, who learns to accept the realities of life quite to the hilt.

Kajol, or Maya, has three children with hubby Aman.Even though the couple has separated due to incompatibility, due to some terminal illness; Maya has to stick around, with her kids.

The centre of attention in the flick are however the three children, played byAanchal Munjal, who plays Aleya, Nominath Ginsburg playing Ankush, and Diya Sonecha playing Anjali.

In the mean time, Aman meets a fantastically ‘full on gal’, Shreya, played by Kareena, who is full of life and energy, and who too, has to come to live with the estranged family.

The problem isn’t the trailer, it’s the movie they’ve decided to show it in front of. If you’re over the age of 12, this may be the least scary horror movie trailer you’ve ever seen.

The Blair Witch Project came out of nowhere to scare the $%!@ out of us and rake it in at the box office, then followed that surprise success with a sequel that … didn’t.

The new trailer helpfully reminds everyone how the first Paranormal Activity ended — badly and scarily! — and then shows some nice, HD-like faux-night vision shots of a nursery, a backyard and a kitchen.

The sequel to last year’s surprise supernatural hit, which made over $151 million worldwide and was made on a $15,000 budget, is directed by Tod Williams (The Adventures of Sebastian Cole, The Door in the Floor) and to this point a cast list has yet to be officially listed. The official synopsis has not been released yet.

The movie Paranormal Activity 2 is directed by Tod Kip Williams. But Oren Peli who directed the first film is still attached as producer and he’s quite confident.
