It boasts of a 3-megapixel camera but no flash. It will run Google and Android 2.1 with Motoblur-style interface. Notably the same interface is seen on Droid X and Droid 2, which was released on August 12.
That said, the gang at Android Central has published an alleged screenshot from Verizon’s computer system that says the Incredible’s Android 2.2 rollout will begin this Friday, August 27. Another Android blog, Droid-Life.com, has a different screenshot showing the same date.
The main points of what this update will bring new are:
* Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support in the web browser
* 720p HD video recording
* WiFi 802.11n
* 3G mobile hotspot
* rotate the screen 270 degrees – either to the left or right
* text message widget
* automatic app updates
Verizon has posted a detailed support page on their website, with information on the update and the main features that Android 2.2 Froyo brings to the table.

Well after the successful launch of Droid in the market and a great hit for that, with lots of application beating almost all the mobile phone, Verizon now decided to launch the Droid 2 this week.
Although the form factor of device appears very similar to the original, there’s one very important change: the keyboard. Verizon describes it as a “symmetrical keyboard with raised keys for more responsive typing.” As most owners of the original Droid (including myself) can probably attest, the slide-out QWERTY keyboard was a bit awkward, so it will be interesting to see how much this has improved with Droid 2.
Most of the Details of Droid 2 is already all over the internet might be leaked by someone close to Droid technology as it has been server with the Android 2.2 Built-in and so many useful software’s.

The company also announced some enhancements to Android today and this week saw the release of its latest smartphone, the Motorola Droid 2 for Verizon Wireless.”In developing Android, Google knowingly, directly and repeatedly infringed Oracle’s Java-related intellectual property. This lawsuit seeks appropriate remedies for their infringement,” Oracle spokeswoman Karen Tillman said in a statement.
As such, it infringes on one or more parts of seven different patents something Google should know, Oracle argues, because it has hired former Sun Java engineers in recent years.Oracle says Google’s known about these issues for around five years now, so it’s clear that whatever licensing negotiations these two were having have broken down we’ve got a feeling this case will drag on for years to come, but we’ll definitely keep an eye on it.
The kicker in this lawsuit is Oracle’s assertion that Google has “induced, caused and materially contributed to the infringing acts of others by encouraging others to use, copy and distribute” what could be called derivative works.

Check off another first for 3D sports broadcasts, now that Verizon has announced its FiOS1 channel will exclusively carry the first 3D NFL game. We doubt you’ll see much of Tom Brady and Eli Manning in a preseason game four matchup between the Giants and Patriots, but for the New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island subscribers already rocking a 3D setup even watching backups fight for a roster spot is bound to be miles ahead of what’s been available so far . Despite keeping its 3D plans close to its vest Verizon has been working closely with the Giants to bring this broadcast to life and plans 3D viewing parties at Meadowlands Stadium (although not on its enormous new HD scoreboards ) and Gillette Stadium. ESPN 3D won’t kick off its own college football broadcasts until a few days later , if you can’t make it to the field and are still wondering if the technology is worth it there are also a couple of bars in Manhattan and Rhode Island airing the broadcast — Jim Sorgi and Brian Hoyer will be glad to know you’re watching. The Droid 2 ‘s been leaking out all over the place in the past few weeks, but it looks like it’ll be another month before it officially hits shelves — we just got these shots from a packaging facility that’s handling the phone, which puts it right on schedule for that rumored August 23rd launch . We’re also told that the phone will definitely ship with an 8GB microSD card, and that pricing appears to be $199 on contract and $599 standalone, although those numbers could change. Just a few short weeks left, we suppose — although give the rate at which this thing is leaking, we’re thinking Motorola and Verizon might do well to push that date up a couple weeks. We’ll see. Okay, this one’s a complete and very welcome surprise — some extremely blurry pictures and a quick video of what appears to be a smaller Motorola portrait QWERTY Android slider for Verizon just popped up on the Chinese Hiapk forums — and yes, it’s got the glowing red Droid eye. We’re not sure if that means the Droid line is about to get a smaller midrange sibling or what, but Motorola’s definitely pushing out some of the more interesting Android form factors lately, and this mini Droid certainly fits right in with the Flipout and the Charm . A couple more shots and the video after the break. Verizon told CNET the company had “done everything possible” to ensure adequate supply of the Droid X , but there’s apparently no anticipating the demand for a top-tier smartphone — like the Droid Incredible before it, the giant 1GHz Motorola handset is already out of stock, both online (today’s orders suffer a ten-day delay) and in many brick and mortar stores. Verizon confirmed the shortages in a communique to Android Central , saying the company was pleased with initial sales, and that though they were “successful at keeping up with early demand” supplies are presently “low or out.” Tomorrow’s just not going to work out, our anti-gravitational friend — can we take a July 27th raincheck? Apple’s Friday press conference may have left a bad taste in some rival handset manufacturer’s mouths , but not all of them are taking Cupertino’s derision of their devices seriously — HTC’s Droid Eris was arguably the most effected by the grip of doom, its bars dropping to zilch when held, but the Taiwanese company keeping any controversial opinions to itself for now. Instead, it’s sharing a simple percentage to help clear the air. Whereas Apple claimed over 0.55 percent of customers called AppleCare with reception-related complaints, HTC’s Eric Lin told Pocket-lint the Droid Eris technical support rate was 0.016 percent, nearly thirty-four times lower — though even with a seven-month head start, we have to wonder if the Eris sold close to three million by the time Verizon brought the axe down .
